The unit
What exactly is an hour here.
The one number on your plan is time. Everything below explains how it is measured, because a limit you cannot predict is worse than a smaller one you can.
What counts
The time Cue is listening to the call tab. The clock starts when you click the icon and stops when you close the window, leave the call or run out.
What does not count
Answers. Cards shown, questions asked by hand, retries — none of it is charged for. We count them for our own costs, not for your bill.
Where the clock is
In the window, next to the state: it says how much of the month is left, and warns you before it runs out rather than after.
When it resets
On a paid plan, on the same day each month as the day you subscribed, UTC: a plan bought on the 26th runs from the 26th to the 26th. The free plan resets on the first day of each calendar month. Hours do not roll over — an unused month is not saved up, and that is deliberate: a plan you did not use is one you should downgrade.
Free
The free plan is a plan, not a countdown.
It renews every month for as long as you keep the extension, and the window shows what is left of it. Nothing expires after fourteen days and there is no trial to remember to cancel.
A fresh install works before you sign in at all, so you can meet the thing on a real call before handing over an email address. Signing in raises the monthly allowance and carries it between machines.
Free and paid differ in one thing: hours. Same platforms, same languages, same privacy, same window.
Ran out mid-month?
Add hours to the current month without changing your plan. They are used before your monthly ones and, like them, do not carry over.
The packs are not on sale yet — for now more hours means moving up a plan, which takes effect the moment you change it.
Billing
Money, cancellation, refunds.
Who takes the money
Paddle, as the merchant of record. Card details are entered on their side and never reach us; we learn that a subscription exists and what state it is in.
Cancelling
Any time, from your account page. The plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for — there is no exit fee and nothing to email us about.
Refunds
Within 14 days of the payment, no argument required. Write to us and it is done.
Changing plans
Up or down at any point. A change takes effect with the provider immediately; your hours follow the new plan from that moment.
What a plan does not change
- The audio never reaches our servers on any plan, and no recording is ever made.
- The recognised text and the answers are kept for 30 days and then deleted — the same on every plan.
- All platforms, the live translation and every answer language are in the free plan too.
FAQ
Questions about money.
Is there a free plan?+
Yes, and it does not expire. The monthly allowance renews on its own, and the window shows how much of it is left — there is no countdown to a date and nothing to cancel.
Why hours and not answers?+
Because that is what an hour of listening costs us. Charging per answer would make the product cheaper on the rounds where it stays quiet — which are exactly the rounds where it did its job.
What happens when the hours run out?+
The cards stop and the window says so. The call itself is untouched: Cue is a passenger in the tab. You can move up a plan mid-month, which takes effect at once, or wait for the reset.
Do unused hours carry over?+
No. The month starts fresh on the first, and anything left behind is gone. Hours added on top of a plan land in the month you get them and are used first.
Can I pay yearly?+
Yes — two months free compared with paying monthly, billed once and refundable within the same 14 days.
I already pay for Trippi. Does that cover Cue?+
No. They are separate extensions with separate plans and separate hours. Buying hours in one does not raise the limit in the other.
Do the plans differ in what is stored?+
No. On every plan the audio never reaches us, nothing is recorded, and the recognised text and answers are kept for 30 days and then deleted. The plan only decides how many hours you get.
