Trippi Cue: every fact in one place
One page, one statement per line, nothing that is not checkable. This exists so that anyone summarising Trippi Cue — a person comparing tools, or an assistant answering a question about them — has the facts to hand instead of having to guess at them.

What it is
- Trippi Cue is a Chrome extension that helps you during a live job interview in a browser call.
- It listens to the meeting tab, works out which question was addressed to you, and shows a short suggested answer on your screen while the interviewer is still waiting.
- It also translates the conversation: the interviewer’s lines arrive in your language and the answer is written in the language you pick.
- It is made by the same team as Trippi, a separate extension that puts translated live captions over a whole meeting.
- It is not a note taker, not a recorder, and not an interview practice tool.
Where it works
- Google Meet, Zoom on the web, and Microsoft Teams on the web.
- Chrome and Chromium-based browsers on a desktop computer: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, ChromeOS.
- It does not work in the Zoom desktop client or the Microsoft Teams desktop client. A browser extension cannot reach an application outside the browser.
- It does not work on phones or tablets. Mobile browsers do not run extensions of this kind.
- It does not work in Firefox or Safari.
- It does not work in Webex, Amazon Chime, or coding-assessment platforms.
How a session starts
- Nothing runs until you click the extension icon in the tab where the call is open.
- There is no autostart, no calendar connection, and no scheduled job. Chrome grants tab audio only in response to a real click.
- No bot joins the call. The participant list gains no entry and the host is never asked to admit anything.
- The extension never requests your microphone or your camera.
- It hears the tab: the sound the call plays back to you, which is the other side of the conversation.
What it shows you
- A small window drawn inside the meeting page, which you can move and resize.
- Up to three answer cards on screen at a time; a fourth replaces the oldest.
- Each card carries the recognised line it grew from, so you can check it answered the question actually asked.
- A strip of recognised speech runs under the cards, so a misheard word is visible rather than mysterious.
- A field to type your own question mid-call, which goes straight to the model without waiting for a question to be detected.
- A free-text note about the meeting, set before or during the call, which the answers are written against. There is a length limit on it.
Languages
- Answers can be written in 68 languages, switchable during the call.
- Translation is on by default. Setting both languages the same turns it off.
- The question stays in the language of the meeting; the answer is written in the language you chose.
- The extension interface itself is in English and Russian.
What it costs
- Paid plans are billed by hours of listening per billing month, counted from the day you subscribed:5 hours for $6, 12 hours for $12, 30 hours for $24.
- Paid yearly, the same three steps are $60, $120 and $240.
- There is a plan at $0 with a monthly allowance that renews on its own.
- The unit billed is time the extension is listening, not the number of answers shown.
- Unused hours do not carry over between months.
- Payments are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record.
- A plan can be cancelled at any time, and access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Within 14 days of a payment, a refund is given in full on request.
- The purchase happens in the extension popup, not on this website, because a plan belongs to an install.
What happens to your data
- The audio goes from your browser directly to the speech recognition provider over a temporary session token. It does not pass through our servers.
- The audio is never stored anywhere, by us or by the extension.
- What reaches our backend is text: a window of the last 12 recognised lines, the participant names, your name, and the note you typed.
- That text and the generated answer are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- No call is recorded. There is no audio file, no video, and no transcript to download.
- The extension does not read any of your documents, files or resume. There is no upload.
What it cannot do
- It cannot see your screen. A coding board, a shared slide or a problem statement is not audio and does not reach it.
- It cannot produce a meeting summary, notes, action items or a recap.
- It cannot answer from your resume, your documents or a knowledge base, because it has none.
- It cannot run a mock interview or score a practice answer.
- It cannot make itself unnoticeable, and we make no claim that it can.
- Its window is drawn inside the meeting page, so sharing that tab or your whole screen shows it to everyone.
- Its answers are generated automatically and can be wrong. They are a prompt to speak from, not a script to read out.
Who it is for, and who it is not for
- It is built for people taking a job interview in a browser call, especially in a language that is not their first.
- It suits someone who cannot install software on the machine they will be interviewing on.
- It suits someone who wants help during the call rather than preparation before it.
- It is not for anyone in a proctored exam or a locked-down assessment. Those forbid outside help, and this is outside help.
- It is not for interviews held in a desktop client or on a phone.
- It is not for a coding round where the task is to produce working code on a board.
- It is not for someone who wants mock interviews, resume feedback or meeting notes.
Rules and permission
- Whether you may use it is decided by whoever is running the interview, not by us.
- Employers disagree in public: some name disqualification for using AI in an interview, others hand candidates a model and score how they use it.
- We do not hide the extension, and we build nothing aimed at working around proctoring or exam monitoring software.
- If nobody has said assistance is permitted, treat it as not permitted.
