Turn any transcript into minutes

Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-01

A chat model writes good minutes when it is told exactly what to write: which parts, in which language, how long, for whom. Answer four questions, paste the transcript, and this page builds that request for you. Then open it in ChatGPT or Claude with one click.

Short transcripts open with the prompt filled in. Longer ones are copied for you to paste.

This page calls no AI model and sends nothing anywhere. It only puts your answers and your transcript together into one clear request. The transcript reaches ChatGPT or Claude only when you open it there, under your own account and that service’s rules.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick what you need. Minutes for the record, only the action items, a follow-up email to the participants, or a short summary for someone who missed the call.
  2. 2Pick the language. The result can be in a different language from the meeting. A call held in German can become minutes in English.
  3. 3Pick length and tone. Short for a chat message, standard for most minutes, detailed for a record someone will check later.
  4. 4Paste the transcript. From Teams, Zoom, Meet or anywhere else. A .vtt file goes through the VTT to text converter first.
  5. 5Open it in a chat. Click Open in ChatGPT or Open in Claude. Read the answer against the transcript before you send it on.

What each output is for

Meeting minutes

The record: who was there, what was decided, who does what by when, and what stays open. The usual thing to file or send to the team.

Action items only

Just the tasks, each with an owner, a date and the line it came from. Tasks nobody took are listed apart, so they do not get lost.

Follow-up email

A draft for the participants: decisions and next steps, with [brackets] where you must add something. The follow-up email guide has templates.

For someone who missed it

Written for a colleague who knows the project but not the call: what changed for them and what they need to do.

Why the prompt says “do not guess”

A model that is asked for an owner and a date for every task will produce one, even when nobody in the meeting said it. That is how minutes end up with “Jonas, by Friday” when Jonas never agreed to anything.

So the prompt tells the model to use only the transcript, to write “no owner” or “no date” when they are missing, and to say when something is unclear. Action items also come with a quote, so you can check each one in a second. These rules make the result less smooth and more true, which is what minutes are for.

Long transcripts

A link can carry only so much text. When the prompt is short enough, the buttons open the chat with it already in the message box. When it is longer, the page copies it instead and opens an empty chat: press Ctrl+V or Cmd+V there and send. Either way the prompt is in your clipboard.

A very long call can be too long for one message even when pasted. Then split the transcript into parts, by hour or by topic, ask for minutes of each part, and finally ask the model to merge them into one set. Dropping the timestamps in the VTT converter also makes the text noticeably shorter.

Before you send the minutes

  • Check names and numbers. Speech recognition and models both get names, prices and dates wrong more often than anything else.
  • Check every owner. If a person is named as owner, find the moment they agreed. If you cannot, ask them.
  • Send them the same day. Minutes that arrive a week later start a second discussion instead of closing the first.

Privacy

This page builds the prompt in your browser and keeps nothing. Once you open the prompt in ChatGPT or Claude, the transcript is in that service, under your account and its settings. If the meeting was confidential, remove what should not leave the room before you paste, and follow your company’s rules on AI tools. More on prompts for each service: ChatGPT and Claude.

The same, without copy and paste

Trippi Notes is a Chrome extension that writes the transcript of a call in a browser tab, with speaker names and times, on Google Meet, Zoom in the browser and Microsoft Teams in the browser. From that transcript it writes a summary with an overview, decisions, tasks with owners, open questions and a glossary, using templates for a sales call, an interview, a stand-up, a one-on-one, a retro or your own request. It drafts the follow-up email for you to send from your own mail, and can open the meeting in ChatGPT or Claude.

The summary is written by a model, so read it before you send it. It works only for calls in a browser tab, and starts only when you click its icon.

FAQ

Asked about this.

Does this page use AI to write the minutes?+

No. It calls no model. It builds a text request from your answers and the transcript; the minutes are written by ChatGPT or Claude when you send that request there.

The chat opened but the message box is empty. What now?+

The prompt is already in your clipboard. Click into the message box and press Ctrl+V on Windows or Cmd+V on a Mac, then send.

ChatGPT or Claude: which is better for minutes?+

Both do this well. Use the one you already have an account with. Each has its own page with prompts: ChatGPT and Claude.

Can I get the minutes in another language?+

Yes. Pick the language of the result in question 2. Names of people and products are kept as they were said.

Is my transcript saved?+

Not by this page. It stays in the page until you close the tab. It goes to ChatGPT or Claude only if you open it there.
