Action items

Action items from every meeting, with an owner and a date

Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-17

An action item is a sentence someone said: “I will send the draft on Thursday”. The problem was never writing it down; it was writing it down with the owner and the date while also listening. When the meeting is written as text, the sentence is there, and the task can be made from it after the call, not during it.

From the transcript to a task

  1. 1Drafts. After the call the summary lists action items found in the transcript, each with the line it comes from. They are drafts, marked as such.
  2. 2Accept, edit, drop. Fix the owner, set the date with a date picker, change the wording, or delete. Accept several at once.
  3. 3Add your own. A task you type by hand gets you as the author; a task from the transcript shows it came from there.

Across meetings

  • Mine. What you promised, across every meeting.
  • Series. A recurring meeting shows last time’s open tasks at the top of this one.
  • Ask. “Who promised what this month?” over a period gives a list by person, with quotes. Tracking commitments.

Not a tracker, a source

Trippi Notes is where tasks are born, not where they live. It does not send reminders, does not have sprints, and does not sync changes back from the tracker. Send the tasks to the tool your team already watches. If you just need a list, the built-in list is enough.

How to start

  1. 1Open the call in Chrome. Google Meet, Zoom in the browser, or Teams in the browser.
  2. 2Click the Trippi Notes icon. It writes the transcript with names while the call is on.
  3. 3Accept the tasks after the call. Drafts come from what people said. Accept, edit or drop each one, then send them to your tracker.

What Trippi Notes does with action items

Finds them in the live transcript with owner, date and quote; lets you accept, edit and add; keeps a “mine” list and the series; sends accepted tasks to Jira, Asana or Linear by hand or automatically after each meeting. No reminders, no two-way sync.

FAQ

Asked about this.

Does it invent tasks?+

It proposes drafts from sentences that sound like a commitment, and you accept them. Nothing is sent without your click or your rule.

What if nobody said a date?+

The task has no date. Add one in the list, or let the tracker ask.

Can tasks be sent automatically?+

Yes. Set it once per tracker: after each meeting, accepted tasks are sent.

Does a change in Jira come back to Trippi Notes?+

No. The task goes one way, from the meeting to the tracker.
