Meeting notes to Obsidian, as Markdown
Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-17
Obsidian is Markdown files in a folder, which is the one format every tool should export and few do well. Trippi Notes exports each meeting as Markdown with the summary, the task list as checkboxes and the transcript with speaker names, so a meeting becomes a note in your vault with nothing to reformat.
Into Obsidian, step by step
- 1Export as Markdown. Summary, transcript or both, from the meeting page.
- 2New note in the vault. Paste. The heading is the meeting name and date; tasks are “- [ ]” and show up in task plugins.
- 3Link it. Add [[Project Atlas]] or [[Marcus]] links by hand; the names in the transcript make it easy to decide which.
What the export looks like
# Atlas planning — 14 Oct 2026 ## Decisions - Release moves to 14 October. - Extra QA week approved; Priya owns the plan. ## Action items - [ ] Marcus: updated timeline to the client — due Wed 15 Oct - [ ] Emma: confirm with legal whether the new terms need a signature — due Fri 17 Oct ## Open questions - Support cover for release week (Marcus asks Dana) ## Transcript **Priya** 00:21:04 — If we take the extra QA week, that puts us on the fourteenth. **Marcus** 00:21:30 — Fine by me, as long as the client hears it before Friday.
Tips
- One note per meeting. A folder “Meetings” with “2026-10-14 Atlas planning.md” sorts itself.
- Keep the quotes. The transcript lines are the evidence. Leave the transcript section at the bottom and fold it.
- Daily notes. Paste only the summary into the daily note and link the full meeting note.
- Tasks. The checkboxes carry the owner and date in the text; a tasks plugin can pick up the date if you write it in its format.
Where the notes come from
