A follow-up email generator with the meeting already in it
Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-17
Most follow-up email generators ask you to describe the meeting so they can write an email about it. If you can describe the meeting, you can write the email. The useful generator is the one that already knows what was said, who was there, and what was agreed, and asks you only what tone you want.
What it knows before you type
- Who was there. The attendees are in To. An address you add to a name is kept for the next meeting. Up to twenty recipients.
- What was decided. From the summary: decisions, open questions, action items with owners and dates. Each is a tick box; untick a point and update the email to leave it out.
- What was said. The quote behind every task, so the email can use the words from the call.
What you choose
| Choice | Options |
|---|---|
| Tone | Neutral, warm, formal |
| Language | Any; the meeting language does not matter |
| What goes in | Decisions, open questions, action items |
| Changes | In words: “shorter”, “drop the budget point”, “add that the demo is on Thursday” |
| Link to the meeting page | Optional, if you created a read-only link |
| Copy to me | Yes or no |
Sending
- From Trippi Notes. In your name; replies come to you. Now, or in 10, 30, 60 or 180 minutes; until it goes, you can cancel from the page. A list under the email shows what went out, to whom, and when. Paid plans.
- From your mail. Gmail, Outlook or your mail app opens with the email filled in; or copy subject and body. Every plan, any address.
Sending from Trippi Notes goes only to people from the meeting or from your contacts, and there is a daily limit, so a mistake cannot become a mailing.
After every meeting, by rule
Set it once: after a meeting, do nothing, prepare a draft, or prepare and send. With “prepare and send”, the email goes to attendees whose address is known, after the delay, and before it goes you get an email with the subject, the recipients and a cancel link. One-on-ones and interviews are skipped by default; you choose which meeting types get no email.
Subject: Your follow-up goes out at 15:30
At 15:30 the follow-up for “Atlas planning” goes to Marcus, Emma, Priya. Open it to check or change it, or cancel it with one click.
It knows when it is stale
If you rebuild the summary or change a task after the email was written, the page says the email is out of date and offers to update it. No sending yesterday’s decisions.
How to start
- 1Build the summary. After the call, the summary has decisions, open questions and action items. The email is written from it.
- 2Write the email. Pick the tone and language, tick what goes in, and the draft appears with the attendees already in To.
- 3Read, adjust, send. Change it in words (“shorter, drop the budget point”), then send from Trippi Notes or open it in your mail.
What the generator is, in one paragraph
A follow-up email written from the meeting summary and the accepted tasks, with attendees in To, in the tone and language you pick, edited in words, sent in your name with a cancel window or handed to your mail app, by hand or by a rule after each meeting. It does not send to strangers, and it does not send without you.
