Analysing interview transcripts, without losing the quotes
Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-17
Ten interviews are ten hours of audio and nobody reads ten transcripts. So teams analyse from memory and from the notes of whoever typed fastest. The quote that mattered is in there, unread. Analysis starts with getting every interview into the same shape, and then asking the same questions of all of them.
Same template, every interview
Pick the template once: Job interview for hiring (answers per question, examples, gaps, what they asked, no scoring) or Customer interview for research (how they work today, problems in their words, workarounds, reactions). Trippi Notes remembers it for the next interview in the series. Comparable notes come from comparable questions, not from a smarter reader.
Then ask across all of them
- “Which candidates described leading a migration, and what did each say?”
- “What did participants say about exporting reports? Quote them.”
- “Who mentioned switching from another tool, and why?”
- “What concerns came up in more than one interview?”
Pick the interviews (up to twenty) or a period, and the answer quotes each one with the speaker’s name. Each quote opens the moment, so you check tone and context before you put a line on a board.
What to keep for yourself
The model is good at finding and sorting what was said. It is not the one who should decide who gets the job or what the product should do. The Job interview template reports; it does not rate. Keep the decision with people, and keep the transcript as the evidence.
Hiring has rules about AI in many places; check your company’s policy, and tell the candidate at the start.
Interviews in other languages
A candidate or a participant speaks their first language better. The transcript is recognized in 68 languages with a translation line in yours, and the analysis questions can be asked in your language. Judge content, not grammar: a second-language transcript reads rougher than the person sounds.
How to start
- 1Open the call in Chrome. Google Meet, Zoom in the browser, or Teams in the browser.
- 2Click the Trippi Notes icon. It hears the meeting tab and your microphone and writes each line with the speaker’s name.
- 3Build the summary after the call. Pick a template, or let it guess from the meeting name, and read the result in your language.
What Trippi Notes does with interviews
Writes each interview live from the browser with names and times, summarizes it by the interview template, keeps every interview in a journal with search, and answers questions across them with quotes. It does not score people and does not keep the audio.
