Korean speech levels decide how a request lands. 반말 (banmal) is casual; 해요체 (haeyo-che) is the polite default at work; 하십시오체 (hasipsio-che, also called 합쇼체) is formal and used in presentations and with clients. 말씀 is the honorific word for someone’s words, so 말씀해 주시겠어요 literally asks them to “kindly say” it.
Spacing matters in one phrase here: 잘 못 들었어요 with a space means “I didn’t hear well”, while 잘못 들었어요 written together means “I misheard”.
