Before the meeting: a brief, and notes on the calendar event

Trippi Notes team · facts checked on 2026-10-17

Not in Trippi Notes yet. On the roadmap.

The best time to read last week’s meeting is the five minutes before this week’s. Today Trippi Notes carries the open tasks of a series to the next meeting, which is most of a brief. A real brief, delivered before the meeting starts, and notes attached to the calendar event, are planned.

What is planned

  • The brief. Ten minutes before a meeting of a known series: what was decided last time, which tasks are open and whose, what was left unresolved, in one short message on the panel.
  • Calendar. Connect Google Calendar or Outlook; the meeting name and attendees come from the event, and the notes link is attached to it after the call.
  • No auto-join. Nothing joins a call on its own. The calendar tells Trippi Notes what the meeting is; you still click the icon.

What the series does today

A recurring meeting with the same name is a series. The summary of each meeting starts with the open action items from the previous one, and the template is remembered. Ask “what did we decide last time?” from the panel during the call, and the answer quotes last week. Commitments across a series.

A brief by hand, today

  1. 1Open the journal before the call. Search the meeting name.
  2. 2Ask. “Summarize the last two meetings of this series and list the open tasks.” The answer is the brief.
  3. 3Keep it open. Or save it as a note on the new meeting.
