One is general, one is not
Cluely’s own pricing page describes its audience as people using it “for meetings, homework, sales calls, or just curious”. It is a broad desktop assistant with meeting notetaking, it remembers your past meetings so you can ask about them later, and it takes custom instructions and uploaded files.
Trippi Cue has one profile in its code and one on its site: the job interview. It has no notetaking, no meeting history you can query, no summaries and no file upload. If you want a single assistant across your whole working day, Cue is the wrong shape and Cluely is the right one.

Why an interview is its own problem
The question has to be found, not asked for
In an interview you cannot stop and type. Cue watches the conversation for the moment a question is actually put to you, and writes the card on its own — a local filter first, then the model, with a confidence threshold and a sixty-second guard against the same question twice.
The language may not be yours
Cue shows the interviewer’s line in your language and writes the answer in the one you picked, across 68 of them, with translation on unless you set both sides the same. That is the half of the product a general assistant has no reason to build.

Choosing between the two.
Cluely Pro is $19.99 with no hour cap. Is Cue cheaper?+
At $6 for five hours or $12 for twelve, yes. At thirty hours for $24 it is close, and beyond thirty hours Cluely’s uncapped plan is cheaper per call. The plans buy different things, though: Cluely covers your whole meeting day, Cue covers interviews.
Does Cue take notes or write a summary?+
No. There is no summary, no transcript file and no meeting archive. Cluely does notetaking and lets you query past meetings; Cue has nothing of the sort.
Can I upload files or set custom instructions in Cue?+
Only a short free-text note about the meeting, with a length limit. No file upload, no knowledge base.
What is Cluely’s $149.99 tier for?+
Its page sells it on being concealed from meeting screen-sharing software. Cue has no comparable feature and does not claim one; its window is drawn inside your browser page and is visible to anyone you share that tab with.
Which one runs on a locked-down laptop?+
Cue, if extensions are allowed, because there is no installer. Cluely is a desktop download and needs the rights to install it.
