Naver’s streaming platform has put real work into live AI subtitles — for tournament broadcasts. The Esports World Cup and the 2026 world championship got live captioning driven by a language model, and it was genuinely good. None of that reaches an ordinary channel. The streamers people follow day to day broadcast with no captions and no translation, on a platform whose interface is Korean throughout, which is where most non-Korean viewers give up.

People do not join CHZZK for the platform. They follow a specific streamer who moved there, and then find themselves on a Korean-language site watching someone talk for hours with nothing to read.

Korean is where both lines earn their keep
Korean to English machine translation drops subjects, flattens politeness levels and mangles names — and on a personal stream, names are half the content: other streamers, games, food, places.
Keeping the recognised original above the translation makes those moments legible instead of confusing. You can see that the streamer said a name, even when the translation turned it into a common noun.

- It does not translate the interface, the chat or the channel titles — only what is said out loud.

Does CHZZK have live subtitles?+

Do I need a Naver account?+
CHZZK is a Naver service and some access depends on a Naver account. Trippi itself needs no account of any kind — it translates whatever plays in your tab.
Will the streamer or the chat see the subtitles?+
